I hope the jury will see through Grimes' crap and find him guilty as charged. I hope he spends the rest of his natural life behind bars because the death penalty is to good for him.

As preposterous as the defense's story is I guarantee a couple jurors are actually thinking about. This guy is so guilty and his story so clearly fabricated the jury should take 10 minutes to come back guilty as charged on all charges!!

I couldn't agree with you more, LBB and Cynic, but I got my finger prints all over the gun. As with OJ, the chain of events that led to the knife making it to the evidence room is one of the main things (other than, of course, the glove) that swayed them to find OJ not guilty.
If this jury is truly a jury of Grime's peers, he's walking. Somewhat justified, the afro-american community doesn't trust the system, and it is incidents like this that give them the opportunity to make an example in order to make a point.
I hope I am wrong. Everyone points to bad people in public service but no one ever stops to think that there are thousands of people in public service, just like the private sector. And just like the private sector, the public sector has a very small percentage of bad people working for it.
It's unavoidable, but it's also not a conspiracy theory as many would like to argue.

Black on Black. How sad. This Grimes is a scumbag. Justice will be served. The funny thing is, whenhe goes to prison, he will be a king for killing a cop. Lets hope he gets DEATH PENALTY!

How can a man convicted of Cop killing only get life with no parole? He should be executed. When does the family get to give an impact statement? Can the judge just punish with execution? I mean over rule prosecution Life with no parole. Society needs to set an example of Grimes. When you kill a cop you will be put down. Anything less allows criminals to keep doing what they do. Another thing about the system, especially with the way the defense presented their case. If you commit a capital crime and cannot raise the capital for defense, you get the capital punishment.

Lets hope he gets DEATH PENALTY! Right on. Prison? Do you know that murderers in prison get 3 meals a day? They have TV privileges? They are let out of their cell for excercise periods? Some if not most get to excercise with other prisoners? Picnic tables, pool tables, cards, a commissary? Yea, I think I'd change a few things if I was in charge. Under my watch the mere word "prison" would have even petty criminals committing suicide before they'd allow themselves to be incarcerated in one of my medieval hellholes. Heck, it might even deter some crime.
