A quake hit Sheki region of Azerbaijan. The Republican Seismological Service Center reported that the quake was recorded on 6 km west from Sheki at 14.05 by local time today.

The Republican Seismological Service Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Science issued statement on rumors among the population about the expected quake in Sheki.

Azerbaijan, Baku, May 15 / Trend / A 3.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Sheki region of Azerbaijan Monday evening, the National Seismic Survey Centre reported.

Azersu has announced a tender for reconstruction of water supply and sewerage system in Sheki city within the "Open municipal infrastructure program-2", funded by the German development bank KfW and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, the operator said on Thursday.

According to preliminary data, the quake occurred 28 km northwest of Azerbaijani town of Sheki.

The Azerbaijani State Property Committee will prepare an electronic data base of real estate cadastre and digital cadastral map of Baku for the next two to three years, committee chairman Karam Hasanov said at the public presentation on 'E-services in the management and property registration: transparency and efficiency' on Thursday.
