Jaguar will participate in this year's Mille Miglia from May 16 to 19, 2013, fielding a total of 24 cars, including six from Jaguar Heritage Racing.

Ian Callum, Design Director for Jaguar, received the prestigious BritWeek Design Icon Award at the recent BritWeek Christopher Guy Design Event in West Hollywood.

The "S" stands for supercharged, which enables the twin cam, direct injected 5.0L V8 to produce 550 hp - a whopping 40 more than Jaguar's regular XKR.

Though the company trails its competition when it comes to luxury sales numbers, mostly because of its poor reputation for reliability, Jaguar in recent years has produced some of the more interesting models in the segment.

Jaguar is methodically clawing its way back to relevance in the luxury segment, and one big step toward that goal will be a small luxury sedan to rival the BMW 3 Series.

A classic Jaguar which has been left to rot in a garage for more than 40 years is expected to fetch between 15,000 and 25,000 at auction.
