If BMW's philosophy for the 3-series is "the best sports sedan we can make," the strategy for the 7-series may well be "just cram in everything we have." But it's been a long four years since the current 7 was introduced, and in the meantime BMW has acquired, invested in, developed, built, or invented so much more, er, stuff.

BMW 7 Series 2013 model has now been revealed officially by the world's largest luxury car maker.

BMW is updating its flagship BMW 7 Series for 2013 with significant powertrain upgrades in the 740i/Li and 750i/Li models - including BMW's 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission; and xDrive, BMW's intelligent all-wheel drive system, now available for the 740Li - as well as a completely new powertrain for the ActiveHybrid 7. When we hear the word facelift, we usually think of styling tweaks, which holds true for the latest 7-Series , but not to the extent you would rave about it.

Those expecting new sheetmetal to grace the updated BMW 7 Series may be disappointed.
