My love for cars rests on the European side of the pond.
However, if GM continues to build world class offerings like the CTSV and Zr1 they will have a shot a winning me back as a possible purchaser in the future.

I'm glad to see that JJFADS bases his love for GM on "halo" cars that he cannot afford. Then again, the CTS-V just got smoked in the latest comparo, where the 8-speed Euro competitor outshined it. If GM wants to compete in the luxo-performance arena, then it must go beyond a 6-speed auto. The competitors are packing 7 or 8 speed DSGs.

Nonsense, your reading comprehension must improve as substantial rebuttal is void in your post. As clearly stated in our much acclaimed post, one shall acknowledge and accept the fact that GM will need to continue building world class vehicles to possibly win us back as a customer. Unfortunately for you, failing to discern the author’s post clearly labels you as a dumbass.

Again, at 13.5K less, the winner dollar for dollar –“money”(for those of you in Rio Linda) is the CTS-V. With that said, I think you would be very much surprised at my latest toy. As I suggested to you you earlier,(that you will be goaded into a pissing match), it's happening as you can no doubt see.
This is very typical whenever someone like you attempts to engage in a reasonable and objective discussion.
My advice to you at this stage is "don't get sucked in"---it will result in a pointless exercise and a complete waste of time.
The wisest approach is to simply make your point and then don't respond when the "goading" comes forth---as it has in this case.

Let's see what the major reviewers say after a long term test. Also I'll see what the resale value is after 2, 3 years. American cars have not been able to hold a candle to the Japanese cars in this regard. To me that's the acid test.

BTW - the Saturn Aura (an outstanding auto) was named MT 2007 "car of the year" - where is it now ???

To me the acid test is the type of blotter, but that’s another story. At any rate can you people please stop referring to the Lacrosse as an American Lexus? It’s a work of art and nobody should degrade this vehicle by placing anything “lexus” in the mix.

Combine that with the dumping of Toyota’s offerings on the rental lots and the poor quality of recent years, and it spells doom for Toyota resale. Prove the resale values - right now all we have is your bluster. Resale value is not a direct function solely of supply. Demand plays a heavy hand, too.

Honda, Toyota and Nissan have seven vehicles on the list - including a (gasp) Lexus. Where's the Buicks? Where's the Loserene? The LaCrap? the EnCrap?-oops not there !
