The Cathedral Concert Series at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, will open by introducing tenor Shawn Mlynek to his hometown in a formal recital at 3 p.m. Sept. 21, in the historic church, 2535 Collingwood Blvd. Born in Toledo, Mlynek studied music and voice at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where he was active in operas and recitals produced by the school.
