I ordered a part (non-electrical “Front Panel”) for a Maytag dishwasher. The cost of the part was approximately $50. Folsom Lake Appliance asked me to pay over the phone at that time with a credit card. No mention was made to refund or return policies. Upon arrive at home, I opened the box and it became immediately apparent the part was the wrong part. I immediately re-package the part. I called the store the next morning, and was informed that they do not take returns. I let them know that I would be willing to pay for shipping or a reasonable re-stocking fee (10 – 15%). Folsom Lake Appliance let me know that they would charge me a 50% re-stocking fee. When I pointed out that this was excessive, the person on the phone informed me that they were not making any money from me and hung up on me.
