LOL I love the sign that looks more like a club sign instead of a funeral home. Is this in the same place that it is located now?

This is across the street, opposite the Bank. Fred Dyke used to work there for "Old" Tom, and "little" Tom was still in school, his sister was in Virginia, and Tom and Nancy lived across the street in the house (now remodeled) behind the present Funeral home. On the same side of the street Bob Fields had his furniture store for a while, Johnny Basconi had a hardware store, and Mannings Grocery was just up the street towards what is now McDonalds. Then there was the Island Creek Company store. Zola Carnahan used to work there.
Otis Cook had a car lot where the present Evans Funeral Home now stands.

That is correct. Otis then moved across the street (where the medical place is today) when he obtained the AMC dealership. I'll post a couple of photos I have of grand dads AMC place.

That was the old building where we had my dads wake, Doyle Cook, June 1972. It wasn't long after that that they movered where thy are now. I don't remember the garage door but I do remember when Tom, Sr. had an ambulance service in Oceana. I also remember when Worrells ESSO was beside where Pete Short's office is now.
I love these old pictures!
Thanks Jim, by the way Your Granddad was the best so is your Grandmother!
