Greets:

It's a Large Octopus Kite, made by Peter Lynn in New Zealand. They are 90' long, and there are maybe 30 in the US. The world record for most flown together currently stands at 20, at the America Kitefliers Association convention in Washington last year.(Previously, the record was twelve flown at Cha-am, Thailand.) An attempt to fly a big "octopile" and maybe break the record is coming up on June 28-29...

Peter Lynn also built the Worlds Biggest Kites, three giant 10,000 sq foot monsters based in the US, Kuwait and Japan. We flew all three together in Kuwait earlier this year, which was amazing.

Pics of all that can be seen at my photo album at photki.com/JMartJr , for the very bored among you.

Hi
Where can I purchase a nice Octopus kite? I have seen a few flat ones, but I like the 3-D ones. I live in Raleigh, NC. Do you know how I might be able to get one?
Thank you very much!
