Ken Hoertz & Crew

When I was a kid living in Ft lauderdale, Fla in 1976, my parents were good friends with Ken and Joanna Hoertz. they lived on NE 26th St in Ft Lauderdale, and Ken had retired and sold an auto body shop in Oakland Park. They had 4 daughters , Tina, Eva, Jodi, and Teddy. My parents Carlie and Pap Parke used to sail with them on Kens sailboat to the Bahamas. Could this be the same family ? gggaskins@yahoo.com

Hi Greg, Yes this is the same family... I'm one of the girls (# 2 daughter). Sadly, my father passed away in 1992 of cancer and my mother passed in January of 2007 from ALS. I am the only one that still resides in South Florida. There are 2 in Maine and 1 in AZ while another is in MS. How are your parents? I work for the Massapequa Water Company on Bkln Ave, Great Picture, Bldg still stands today I pass it every morning and afternoon. Taxes were prob $300 a year back then...

I remember sweeping and using the adding machine with my mom and dad. We has a dog in the yard too. Maria
