Beautiful...visiting here, only interest was the Falls, no shops open in Hinton or good food places?
We drove to Lewisburg to shop and eat.

actually there are plenty to do in Hinton including a trip to Pipestem State Park where you can ride the aerial tramway, you can rent a boat at the Bluestone Marina and take it out on the lake, whitewater rafting, and eating lets see Dairy Queen, Appalachian Diner, and Kirks just to name a few...shopping you have me there we have a couple of dollar stores and a Magic Mart but depending on what your looking for you can still probably find it somewhere in Hinton so please get your facts straight before putting down my hometown.

You completely misunderstand your area as relates to travelers/tourists... absolutely no put down about OUR birth town and deeply rooted Settlers of Summers County/Hinton area.

The reference was Hinton proper, very sad and disappointing to see the fading town,(have been to all the places suggested and more.)
Recently, having traveled through a number of small town areas,
Hinton was the ONLY town where we saw all the street people and corner hangers. Definitely did not go to Big 4 for ice cream as in years past, when the corners were clean and one could sit in the Park and eat an ice cream cone!?
