So nice to see this photo. Post more if you have them. My sisters and I grew up in Dalton Gardens - lived in a house on 16th Street - this in the early-mid 1950's. So many lovely fields and Canfield Mt was really neat - no houses on it to speak of. We used to go on great walks and I recall that near the end of the school year, everyone in the 4 room elementary school would go on a big picnic over near the base of Canfield Mountain. I remember orange NeHi soda that they hauled with all the other food stuffs. Don't know if Totten's Pond still has that name, but it used to be that we could all wander around - there (saw my first frog eggs and tadpoles in that pond - and other places. Sad to me at least, that so much gone and much of what's left of the countryside is private and "off limits". Great memories though. Say, does anyone have a photo of the schoolhouse that was used during the 1950's? Thanks.
