What Is This?

Some sort of old grain bin, probably for the railroad given it's placement near the tracks. But it does indeed look very cool. It looks like something that would be in a Steven King book where some kids enter into some other universe or an unnatural evil would live that needed to be defeated (it would explode in the end, but obviously using a miniature because I'd want to never hurt a single thing on this.) I'd love to get permission from the junk yard guys to get out closer to it to take pics and just see it.
I really like it and hope that it's being protected by some sort of 'historical' protection, but yeah, I'd love to hear the real story on it myself. I look at it every morning taking my daughter to school.

it's a sawdust burner.

Its part of the old Lemming saw mill. I think they burned the saw dust in it.
