Frontier quits Fresno-Denver flights as Fresno airport nears passenger record

Frontier Airlines' service between Fresno and Denver appears to be flying off into the sunset -- again -- as the airline confirmed that it is pulling out of the Fresno market in early 2015. Jan. 5 will be the carrier's final flights between the two cities.

Airbus says in final stages of A320neo ground tests

Airbus is conducting the final stage of ground trials as it edges towards the keenly-awaited first flight of its revamped A320neo aircraft, the planemaker said on Tuesday. The first test aircraft is on the "final run-in" towards its maiden flight, a spokesman said in answer to a query, but added it was too early to predict an exact date.

The airline and the flight attendants' union have agreed to voluntary buyout packages worth up to $100,000 for the more senior flight attendants. The airline did not disclose how many buyouts will be paid out, or if there will be net reduction of staff at the carrier as a result.

Green-lit airlines target China

Cambodia's aviation authority yesterday approved operations for the first of three Chinese market-focused airlines, all of which are expected to take to the skies by the end of the year. The State Secretariat of Civil Aviation granted an Airline Operations Certificate to Apsara International Air - owned jointly by private Chinese and Cambodian investors - after a more than yearlong application process.

An Easyjet Airbus A319-100, registration G-EZEB performing flight U2-883 from London Gatwick,EN to Glasgow,SC , was on final approach to Glasgow's runway 05 when the crew initiated a go-around at about 1200 feet MSL due to an unsafe gear indication. The crew worked the related checklists, performed an alternate gear extension and landed safely on runway 05 about 20 minutes later.

On December 1, Air France will join Lufthansa as the second airline to operate the massive Airbus A380 aircraft at MIA.

The aircraft diverted to Antalya for a safe landing on runway 36C about 25 minutes later.
