Franklin, Turner Spar Over 'Queen' Title
So who is really the queen: Aretha Franklin or Tina Turner? During the Grammys, Beyonce Knowles referred to Turner as "The Queen." Franklin said at the time that the comment was "a cheap shot for controversy." ...

Ok Re-Re is the Queen of Soul, but she looks like Jabba the Hut ... Tina not only is Queen of Roc'n Roll, but is the only 70 year old that still is a stunner in a mini-skirt and fishnets ...

I have met Aretha Franklin, and her father (the late Rev. C L Franklin) I can attest to the fact she has a lot of class. In addition, she has supported a number of worthy causes for the City of Detroit. Tina on the other hand does not strike me as a queen of anything! I don't recognize her as rock n roll either!(Pop maybe) Don't get me wrong, Ms. Turner has earned her place in music history, and You simply don't see many 60 somethings with a body (and legendary legs of course) like hers. But when one mentions Queen in the music world, it rightfully belongs to Aretha. PS given the choce, I would spring for Aretha tix before Tina!

How petty and unimportant! Who really give a crap!

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ must be a slow news day. Aretha has always been the queen of soul while Turner is the queen of rock and roll. Don't they both have enough bucks to quit this stupid bickering?

Aretha is so much more of a singer. Tina is even flat at times, no way even close to Aretha when it comes to singing...

Now I love Aretha and I love Tina as well. But sad to say, you can take the girl out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of the girl. No one is disputing that Aretha is the Queen of Soul-but apparently she is not feeling secure in her world. Both of our Queens need to grow up and chill out.

Oh wait!!Where is Queen Latieffa????

I think the "ego" first blew up by Aretha at the Grammy's. If there was a high and classy rode to be taken, it should have been then. Then none of this would have ever transpired.
How does Queen Latifa feel about all this? |

ARETHA FRANLIN....IS THE 'UNDISPUTED QUEEN of SOUL'...TINA TURNER is O.K. but who knows what 'BOUNCY KNOWLES' IS ??? Just wealthy.
