The HIV/AIDS crisis in the black community isn't in places like Oklahoma; it's in Detroit, Chicago, D,C., L.A., and places like that. Most inner-city blacks wouldn't know anyone who went to a high-school reunion, because most don't graduate.
Much of the AIDS in the inner-city is spread by prostitutes who don't require their customers to wear a condom (60 Minutes showed with a hidden camera that while white and Latina hookers insist on a condom, most black hookers don't). Maybe your friends aren't the type who have sex with prostitutes. Mine aren't.
