The battle to keep ancient Egypt Black

National Geographic magazine insulted the historical and cultural legacy of Blacks during Black History Month by distorting history and blatantly insinuating that ancient Egyptians were anything but Black. This shit still doesn't surprise me after all these years as NG's recent actions have clearly proven to the world that whites are intimidated by and can't deal with the fact that Kemet was and has always been a an African civilization. That, combined with the disturbing fact that Western civilization were ultimately influenced by and the first Europeans were civilzed by blacks, explains why whites go through great lenghts trying to portray Kemet as anything but a black African civilzation. I wonder if they are still using that outdated postmodernistic Eurocentric pseudoscience bs to claim the AE's as being dark skinned Caucasians and all. How pathetic!

In which continent does the country Egypt situated.
Over the hundred of years the systematic distortion

Looks like people are finally rising up against the revisionists. Good. Let the Black Community believe it's mythology, but don't let it creep into real history.

Oh this is rich. First of all The beginning of Egyptian history, the people WERE black, they were lighter though, because it was Northern Africa.

Nubians were definatly black though, and no one can say otherwise because there is evidence, and they became rulers of Egypt too.

I find it funny though, that everyone is going through great lengths to try and make it seem like Egyptians weren't black.

The Greeks took over Egypt and made it there own, and everyone knows with war comes rape. So they are mixed because of that and it was located near the middle east, and that is an answer for itself.

How could the Egyptians be Middle Eastern if Egypt wasn't in the Middle East originally? How could they be white when Whites were in Europe at that time (before they started taking over everything in sight.)

Life started in Africa,so you best believe the first people on earth were black.(Adam and Eve).

It just makes no sense to view otherwise.

Gerald Massey, English writer and author of the book, Egypt the Light of the World, wrote, "The dignity is so ancient that the insignia of the Pharaoh evidently belonged to the time when Egyptians wore nothing but the girdle of the Negro."

Sir Richard Francis Burton, a 19th century English explorer, writer and linguist in 1883 wrote to Gerald Massey, "You are quite right about the "AFRICAN" origin of the Egyptians. I have 100 human skulls to prove it."

Scientist, R. T. Prittchett, states in his book The Natural History of Man, "In their complex and many of the complexions and in physical peculiarities the Egyptians were an "AFRICAN" race.

The Ancient Greek historian Herodotus, who visited Egypt in the 5th century B.C.E., saw the Egyptians face to face and described them as black-skinned with woolly hair.

Aristotle - "Those who are too black are cowards, like for instance, the Egyptians and Ethiopians".

Aristotle - "Why are the Ethiopians and Egyptians bandy legged? Is it because of that the body of itself creates, because of
disturbance by heat, like loss of wood when they become dry? The condition of their hair supports this theory; for it is curlier than that of other nations..."

Lycinus - "this (Egyptian) boy is not merely black; he has thick lips and his legs are too thin"

Ammiuanus Marcellinus "...the men of Egypt are mostly brown or black with a skinny desiccated look."

The Egyptians were what we would call Nilo-sahrans that looked like abbysinians and somalis. this so called myth that they had lighter skin is flawed..the Egyptians painted their statues and kings with African features and Dark Brown to yellow skin.

Like the Dorians, Ionians, and Sumarians...the Badarians were the precursors of Egyptian Culture, they hailed from Sahran Africa and moved Northward bringing the culture of Egypt with them. Also the Nubians whom would form a seperate but equally great and sister Nation..predates Egypt with the city of Kerma. The Nubians looked with in the Range of Ancient Egyptians. Many of the pic Eurocentrics like to use such as the on where an Egyptian is Whipping a Nubian and a Scribe is Recording it(claimed to be Nubians becuase of the Facical Features) Are actually Nilotic prisoners of war

YAWN...LOL
http://hej3.as.utexas.edu/~www/wheel/africa/n...
There exists a site in southern Egypt that is the oldest astronomical site in the world. This site, called Nabta, was created some 6500 years ago by a Neolithic people who were concerned with the progress of the year. The circle of standing stones allowed the people to determine when the solstices occurred as well as rainy seasons. This sub-Saharan culture is likely to be the predecessor of the Egyptians. The site was excavated by Fred Wendorf and John (Kim) Malville.

HERES MY FAV. PARAGRAPH!!
Human remains were also found at Nabta, but only the jawbone was left available to Wendorf to examine, the rest being confiscated by the Egyptian museum in Cairo. The study of this jawbone led Wendorf to an interesting conclusion: the Nabtians were of sub-Saharan descent, not of middle eastern. He deduced this based on the size and structure of the teeth and jaw compared to different ethnic groups. The conclusion undercuts the mainstream theory that Egyptian society was founded by Mesopotamians and Syrians. The idea that the Egyptian society was truly of African descent is revolutionary indeed. Yet it is backed with good evidence from the Nabta site, such as the jawbone and knowledge of the cycle of aridity in the region.

More
http://www.comp-archaeology.org/WendorfSAA98....

A major change occurred in the character of the Neolithic society at Nabta occurred around 7500 years ago, following a major drought which drove the previous groups from the desert. The groups who returned to the desert now clearly had a complex social system that expressed a degree of organization and control not previously seen in Egypt. They sacrificed young cows and buried them in clay-lined and roofed chambers covered by rough stone tumuli, they erected alignments of large, unshaped stones, they built Egypt's earliest astronomical measuring device (a "calendar circle" which appears to have been used to mark the summer solstice), and they constructed more than 30 complex structures having both surface and subterranean features. A shaped stone from one of these complexes may be the oldest known sculpture in Egypt.

These structures are important because they indicate the way the people were able to organize work, celebrate their culture, and perhaps express their religious beliefs, and furthermore, they tell us that the Saharan people may have been more highly organized than their contemporaries in the Nile Valley.

Lol..Give it up dude..The More they Dig to Find the Origins of the Egyptians the MORE AFRICAN and BLACK SUB SAHRAN Egypt Gets!!!!

And the fact that they are putting it into ACADAMIC Egypt History books..is changing Egypt into an Indiginous Nation Started by Black Africans(Upper Egypt) whom are still in Upper Egypt by the way

The Egyptions were Egyption or at least until they were taken over by Kushite Nubians, which is why many people think of them as being black African. It wasnt really until the 25th dynasty that Egypt can be called 'Black' or at least it was ruled by Kushite (nubian) rulers who invaded Egypt. Kushite nubian rule lasted from about the 25th dynasty to the 28th dynasty I think and Im also aware that this was when Egypt was already becoming weaker. So to get to the point and hopefully end this meaningless debate, the Egyptions had there own unique culture that wasnt black or white it was way more advanced then anyone else in the world. It wasnt until mush later in its history that it was ruled by Kushite Nubian (black hamitic) rulers. In Greco-Roman Egypt, rulers made the locals mix, no one was allowed to marry the same race/clan as them I think. This was all thousands of years ago so one should remeber Egyptions today are mixed and secondly many Egyptions Ive met are proud to be Egyption regradless of background.

The Egyptians had Nubian influences and allies from the begining of their history. Also the Egyptians made nothern Nubia a colony in the 12th dynasty to control trade routes.
Also the Nubian territroy of today was once Southern Egypt.
Ill agree the Egyptians today are proud people regardless of background and I really don't care about race...but Illbe damned if I whear about another European Egyptian.
